Vanessa's Blog: Fluttering Designs?
Earlier this week, the Marmotte family took up residence in the warehouse yard. Gloria and Fred will be celebrating their 8th anniversary next month, and have two beautiful children, Scooter and Tabitha. Tabitha was born back in early April, forcing the family move to a bigger burrow.
As luck would have it they found the ideal living quarters - a HUGE warehouse yard filled with crates and pallets and rocks to burrow in, climb on top of, snack on and seek shelter from the spring storms under. There's also a lot of grass, flowers and berries for them - everything is within walking distance. Rent was free and the only downside was having to put up with "paparazzi" and other humans laughing at them, and the occasional airplane landing nearby.
Unfortunately, the Lamothe brothers, Jimmy and Lenny caught wind of this amazing deal and figured if it was so huge, two families could comfortably live there. If not, well, too bad for the other family. Their parents were killed by a fox early when they were just 11 months old and they had lived on the streets their whole lives. Fending for themselves and battling for their territory was nothing new for them. The knew how to get what they wanted - play nice and then attack when their prey least expected it.
Fred is usually a lover and not a fighter, but when his family and his home are threatened, he will do anything to protect them! Fred was the youngest of 8 brothers and had to learn how to defend himself pretty early on. One of their favorite activities was to wrestle. Fred had won the Championship title 5 years in a row, and made the decision to retire from wrestling when he met Gloria.
As I was the "paparazzi", I thought I'd share these shots here with you for free, before I shop them around for the best deal ;) Enjoy!

As of Friday, both the Lamothe's and the Marmotte's were still battling it out to see who would take up permanent residence in the warehouse yard. Stay tuned to find out who gets served their eviction notice!
